I used to mess around with builds back in the day with hero editor. theres also a code for skill points if any of you have never tried a certain builds its an excellent way to experiment. So a level 1 character can kill 1 thing and hit level 99. The hero editor should work but I've never taken the time to use it. It adds xp to your offline character, rather than levels. Regardless, that sucks but you definitely have options. I would still back up to cloud after this though just in case. You could also partition your OS drive and do the same thing but I don't recommend this anymore in case the OS drive itself fails. If you need to format your computer, only your primary OS drive will be affected so you can easily remap your folders after formatting and be right back up and going again. A lot of people use cloud services such as Google Drive and OneDrive to fit the need as well which is far more convenient.įor games specifically, you could use an application such as GameSave Manager which will back up every game for you directly to your preferred storage location (including cloud services).Īnother very easy to mantain method is to have a second SSD/m.2/HDD other than your OS drive and relocate your User Folders there (usually where saves are stored for games. I'm just curious why you didn't back up your important data such as save games before wiping?
